CEFRAN Type of hybrid: Three cross
FAO group: 340
Use: Silage, grain, CCM, biogas

Properties:
Mid-late hybrid for the production of both grain and silage
During a three-year testing (registration tests), it showed the following results in a silage production experiment (average values over a three-year testing):
– the yield of dry matter – 102 % to checks mean
– the yield of corn-cobs dry matter – 107 % to checks mean
– the yield of green mass – 101 % to checks mean
During the last year of the testing, the content of starch as a new trait was monitored, showing a value of 122 % for this hybrid, as compared with control hybrids.
High yield of cob dry matter and high content of starch make this hybrid suitable for the production of high-quality silage or grain production
Strong stalk and good resistance against diseases and pests.
High yield of both cobs and kernels
High yield of starch
Universal, suitable for intensive agricultural production
Stay green type

Description:
The plant is 240-250 cm tall with cobs set at a height of approximately 100 cm, the stalk has slight to mild anthocyanin colour
Cobs are slightly conical, very densely covered with grain, with a good husk cover including tip cover
Dark yellow-orange, dent-type grain, with a mild to distinct hole; the crown of kernel is yellow

Recommended plant density:
for silage: 80–85.000 plants/ha
for grain: 75–80.000 plants/ha
